soundTransit is an online collaborative project that collects sound recordings from different places around the world. Users are then able to “book” audio trips to various destinations and pick itineraries that allow them to listen to sound samples from different “stopovers”. soundTransit is one of a number of projects that focus on the idea that sound is an important way of defining place.
