a new aggregator has come to town

when I talk about the heady days of the geoblog, I always reminisce about the role that PlanetGeospatial and SlashGeo played in bringing awareness of new sources of content. Jump forward a social media evolution or two and we are at a point where long form content is gaining ground again and we want to find new content and sources, but not necessarily from certain social media platforms, especially since we are spread across platforms now.

Geobabbler has set up GeoFeeds to provide homage to the aggregators of old, and to give us a way to follow active geo-content that is distributed via the trusty old RSS. You can find the list of sources included in GeoFeeds or just grab the feed itself at https://geofeeds.me/feed (you will need an app that can ingest RSS, but there are plenty out there in the stores and open source)

I guess it is time to return to creating the occasional blog post…
