Relief Map Rug
The latest entry in the gifts for the “geographer who has everything” category is the Relief Map Rug from Dutch designer Laurens van Wieringen
The carpet depicts a landscape scene and is made using soft colored foam rods at varying heights to show elevation relief.

I love that rug! I like how it is fairly abstract when you look at it closely (at their site) yet it looks like a landscape from farther away. The colors are very “juicy” and it looks very high-tech, similar to some web sites color shemes.
