There are probably not many more than 32,000 GIS practitioners in general in the world. If anyone has a projected total number of GIS or geospatial technologies professionals around the world or in particular countries I would be very interested.</description>

The certificate number does not relate to the number of certified professionals.  I believe the number is a significantly more modest 4500-5000 at this time.</description>
