    1. Excellent show and discussion about technology and Geography. Specifically, I liked what Indy said about the need for a background in Computer Science and Geography in today’s graduate programs. As a relatively recent graduate of the program at San Diego State, my peers and I often discussed this very issue. Very few of us had programming backgrounds but the job market seems to require more and more of these types of skills. The scripts I now write are pretty basic and for sure do not adhere to a seasoned prgrammer’s sense of style and order. I liken them to jimmy-rigging an old jalopy together with duct-tape–it’ll drive down the street and it sure beats walking, right? To my boss it looks like a Cadillac.
