NPR discusses Philadelphia GIS project

Prof. Hillier’s research mapped low-income neighborhoods in Philadelphia that lacked places to buy healthy food. Her work helped to push through a new initiative to provide subsidies for building supermarkets in neighborhoods that are underserved.
