Talking about home and trying out Windows Live Writer

OK, so as you might know we are all at West Virginia University.  In the near future we will be moving from our historic home in White Hall on the downtown campus of WVU to a brand new…well newly renovated building, across the street in Brooks Hall.  Our new digs should be ready late in the spring.  It is going to be pretty sweet.  Multiple teaching computer labs, separate labs (computer, wet, and dry) for faculty research, and other cool toys.  I am definitely looking forward to having building wide gigabit 🙂

As for Windows Live Writer, it seems pretty user friendly.  We have an installation of WordPress on our own server space and Writer found it just fine.  As you might expect, it is uses Virtual Earth for the maps, complete with the 1999ish B&W USGS DOQQs.
