Friday morning at the UC
Aug 11th, 2006 | By Jesse | Category: Events, generalWe are waiting for Jack’s closing remarks and the Q&A. If anything comes up we will be sure to let you know.
Just a few things that we remember from the Q&A.
- Scott Moorehouse gave an amazing talk that almost everyone missed…hopefully this, and David M.’s and Clint B.’s, super session will be available on the UC DVD
- There was a request for a Frappr like community to allow ESRI users to share their locations and learn who else is working in their area, probably on a globe or in ArcWeb Services.
- There was also discussion of a Flickr like map gallery complete with geolocating the maps
Other than that there were some interesting questions AND answers.

I’m guessing you fell victim to the same thing I did – they shut down the SDCCESRI WiFi right around 12:00, as the final session was winding down… And here I was in the midst of fast and furious emails, myself…
I was victim of cell phone calls first, then lack of WiFi…then a lethargy set in at the end of the week that was born of a first-timers attempt to do too much. I am generally jaded about most conferences these days after over a decade of presenting, but I was jazzed about my first trip to the UC and ran around all day, everyday
My poor legs are looking forward to sitting in front of a computer for a week
