Mapping Boston’s CowParade 2006
Jun 9th, 2006 | By Sue | Category: Events, WebMapping, archiveFor those of you familiar with the urban phenomenon of painted cow statues known as CowParade, Boston is getting its turn this summer with over 100 statues placed throughout the city’s neighborhoods. A map of all the cow locations is available here, although sadly only in PDF format. Perhaps someone out there will create a nice mashup of the CowParade statue locations for us. Mooo!
I created a google map of CowParade Boston with markers, links to artists web sites, and cow pictures. It’s still a bit preliminary (only ~40 cows are accurately located and have pictures, while the rest of the cow locations are based on the rough locations in the official pdf map), but I hope to complete the map over the next couple of weeks.
