The ESA will soon be launching a new satellite to measure the ice levels at the poles to determine if the prediction that global warming is impacting ice levels is true. From the article, the main sensor will be radar.

First Asia-Pacific ESRI Users Conference

Here’s another event I just found out about: ESRI’s first Asia-Pacific Users Conference, which will be held 12-13 January 2006 in Hong Kong. The abstract deadline for papers has been extended to September 30th(this Friday)

Internation Conference on Spatial Data and Disaster Management
